Learning to walk..

It feels good to put my foot forward and inch away a few steps.I had thought i shall run my heart away a few days after the cast is removed. So had been eagerly awaiting the day it was to be removed. But you know what? My leg has forgotten to walk!!

Had been all furious when the leg wouldn't budge in even a little to my demands.Maybe it has become a bit too lazy after a complete rest of 7 weeks. The injury hadn't healed in full, still waiting for the skin to come in a small portion back of the heel.It is taking quite a long time to come up.And that is the reason to go in for extra nutritional supplements ,even though mom does make sure i have a diet rich in proteins and calcium. The bone too hadn't healed in full by the results of the x-ray.So had been advised to walk with the help of "walkers" to strengthen the muscles and for the rigidness to go away.

It wasn't easy to use the walkers the very first time .It is more of a stand like structure which small kids can use to play, but right now it is all dear to me.It gonna help me walk and and get back the strength of my leg which should last me lifelong!!

Hadn't become weight bearing yet. That depends on how fast the bone heals. The living room has become a playground and have mom and dad as spectators when i walk, and ,of course to catch hold of me in case i trip!!! :-)

So right now dreaming about the day i will regain my freedom back and of course that will be a day to celebrate for by then i would have learnt the art of walking the second time in life!!!

So the day..come soon... :-)
